greatest little guy!

we are having the time of our lives with this little dude, to say the least!
he is a little boy. a toddler. a kid. not a baby.
It is crazy, but we are loving every minute!

he has SO much energy and is always on-the-go so I usually take a bit of a nap when he goes down. I am SO tired from chasing him all day :)

that sweet face gets me every time!

he decided on his own that he wanted to try and get in Ruby's kennel

and I think he actually really liked it in there because I couldn't get him to come out! I am suprised she went in there after smelling Dallas in there...

Teag is no longer just 'dada' or 'dad'. He is 'daddy' now.

loving his baby
going to town on an ice cream cone :)
I always told myself I would never be the mom with the dirty kid or the kid with the messy face, etc.
oh well...

typical breakfasat of eggo, milk, cheerios

playing at little gym

so big and so into everything!

playing with daddy

cuddling with mommy when he wasn't feeling good :(

It was SOOO sad - Dallas had the flu and threw up for the first time (other than spitting up as a baby). He woke up from his nap crying on Friday, and I went to get him and he'd thrown up in his crib. He had 4 baths on Friday and I did several loads of laundry. He took a 6 hour nap Saturday and about 4 hours today, so I hope that tomorrow he wakes up feeling great! I hate seeing him sick - I would much rather have it than see him suffer!

does diego make me a bad mom?!?

Dallas somehow discovered Diego and now he thinks he is GREAT! Is it bad, at his age (17 mo.) to let him watch the show?

in addition to Sesame Street?

and watching sports with Teag at night?

(shout out to Brett!)

Is that way too much for a day? Help! I'm new at this!

(Oh yeah, and sometimes he likes these little weirdos too!)

Is it too much? What is appropriate for his age? Words of Wisdom from some mom's please :)

Reynolds Family Photos

while we were in Newport we were finally able to get a family picture! Other than at weddings, we probably haven't had a family picture since I was 7 and our dog Fred was in it with us!
-
Teag and I have friends from college, Preston and Melissa, who live in Laguna and were nice enough to come over and hook us up!
Melissa claims 'amateur' but she has a professional camera and a great eye! There were so many great pix! Thanks so much guys and we were so happy to see you and Sawyer too!

the fam
(with Ruby's in the background...how appropriate!)
my dad has wanted to get a shot like this for years. I think it's a joke between he and my mom and some of their friends???
grandma and grandpa with all their grandkids
great BEFORE shot, the AFTER wasn't so good...
they didn't let go of their hands while in the air, so Ben ended up parallel to the sand, got slammed down and the wind knocked out of him.

so sad!!!
telling him he looked like a flying superhero helped him feel better
our little fam!
fun with Dallas
my cutest mom and dad!
thanks for everything!
we love you tons!

best brothers Josh and Jer skipping off into the sunset :)
my mom and her girls
of course we had to have a model pose in there!
I love you girls so much!!!

RISE and SHOUT!!

GOOOOOOO COUGARS!
Just had to give a shout out to the cougs for their impressive 59-0 victory over UCLA yesterday.
Dallas loved watching with us, of course. The kid is already a sports nut, and a BYU fan - sorry dad!
I got him a little BYU t-shirt with a baby cougar on it and he LOVES it! He is always looking down and pointing at the cougar when he wears it - so cute!
-
Now we just need the Steelers to win tonight and it will be a successful football weekend!

17 months old

our little man is almost a year and a half old! he really is moving from the baby stage into a toddler! He is all over the place and into everything all the time! Sometimes I feel like all I do is follow him cleaning up his destruction - but I absolutely love it :)
-
. he is absolutely hilarious and loves to make us laugh!
. but he is also SUCH a sweetheart and doesn't hesitate when we ask him for loves
. his new thing is laying on his stomach on the ground and kicking his legs - he just laughs and laughs!
. now that football season has officially started he can't get enough of it . He LOVES to sit with daddy and watch the games, screaming and pointing at the TV. Sometimes he just can't contain himself and has to run up to the TV and hit it!
. he just got a basketball hoop, and from the moment he wakes up he is dunking and yelling "ball"
. we started Little Gym again a few weeks ago and he is crazy about it!
. he just runs wild while the rest of the kids sit in their mom's laps singing, etc.

LOVING daddy! Teag usually gets him out of bed in the morning and brings him in to me. The other day Teag left early for work so I was woken up to "dada! dada!" coming from his room. I love it! such a happy boy :)

slam dunk!

we went to one of our neighbors b-day parties and he LOVED going down the slide over and over and over...
and he spent the rest of the time in the bounce house, even if he was just in there by himself with Teag and I laughing from the outside
he is the best little helper and can't get enough of the broom. he has his own spot for it between the fridge and the cabinets.
he just got his first pair of 'crocs' and is OBSESSED with them! he has a basketball on one and a football on the other and he loves to show them to EVERYONE...his doctor, my doctor, my friends, people at the store, etc. And when he is in his stroller he loves to take them off and throw them.
I think we may have a future dentist on our hands. He is crazy about toothbrushes! We had to hide our toothbrushes from his because he was always taking them and they always seem to end up on the floor.
and he LOVES to brush his teeth when he wakes up and before bed, and usually a few times in between!

time in utah

After Newport Dallas and I went back to Utah to spend some more time with the fam! I am always so excited to spend time with my family. We have so much fun together and they are truly my best friends. I am so lucky! I will be counting down the days until Christmas...
-
The little cousins had so much fun together! (We missed Josh and Jer, who had to start school the day after they got home!)

the kiddos on the train at hogle zoo Isaak was SO excited to show us all the white alligator...and Dallas was pretty into it!
Dallie checking out the cutest baby giraffe
one of Dallie's favorite things to do at my parents house is to go into my dad's office and get a bucket of golf balls to load-unload-load-unload
Dallas and Eliza riding the train at grandma's

one night we went up Millcreek Canyon (to our favorite spot from the good old days!) to roast hot dogs and make smores
Dallas and Eliza - cutest little buddies!
