flowers...finally!

I have been DYING to plant flowers, and last week my sweetest mom came up to help me (although she basically did it herself)! I had to put up some pics so my dad could see her great work - he would be proud!along the driveway and the cute hanging basket she did
we went and got a truckload of top soil and tons of flowers and got to work!
Dallas helped a ton by making sure the dirt tasted okay and then crawling into the flowers and hanging out :)

and of course our little buddy was there to help with his tractor and trailer!

Issac and Lea's Wedding

Last weekend we went to Utah for Teag's other best friends wedding! It was up at Sundance and it was GORGEOUS! Right at sunset, so it wasn't too hot, and the mountain setting couldn't have been better.

The only thing missing was Sarah and baby Jacob, but there will be plenty of times with us all together.
I don't know if Leah knows about the ranch yet, but I'm sure she won't mind ;)
-
We are so happy for Isaac and Lea!
I have never seen Isaac so happy and excited!

Isaac waiting for his bride
beautiful Lea with 2 of her boys
what a setting!
sealing the deal
the boys
Brett, Isaac and Teag: BF's
over the years Sarah and I have wondered if 'boyfriends' was more appropriate than 'best friends' for these 3
so happy :)

cute moment I was able to capture when they didn't realize anyone was watching!

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Kelley! We love you guys so much and are so excited for your new life together!

Dallie's new fave!

I didn't know if Dallas was old enough for Sesame Street, but we gave it a try and he LOVES it!
He either sits in his truck with his baba or lounges back on the couch to watch his buddies on TV.
Elmo is his favorite - whenever he comes on Dallas looks at me with big eyes and his eyebrows raised and a look saying: "Mom! Do you see who it is?! He's so great!"

nap time

between all his walking, talking, playing and teething our busy little bubsy is worn out!
he finished his lunch and was having some baba and next thing I knew he was OUT COLD!
I was so glad my camera was close by so I could get this great shot.

fun with Jay and Jer!

we were so excited and so lucky to have my older brother Jason and my nephew Jeremy come up for a visit this week!
Jason had been feeling pretty well, so he decided he should come while he could, and we are so happy that Jer was able to come too!
-
We had so much fun just hanging and spending time together at home, going to the mall, getting drinks at Maverik, playing ball and pass with Dallie, watching Dallie walk around and listening to him chat and sing!
He and Jer even developed their own language together :)
-
Dallas loved spending time with his uncle and cousin!
He was obsessed with Jay's tubes and hydration bags, but mostly his pole! We kept joking that we need to get Dallas his own pole for Christmas!
Dallas loved watching the boys play the double shot, and of course tried to be as big and cool as them
Jer was so great to push Dallas all around in his car and play with him
all you have to have is a ball and Dallas is your new best friend!
-
Thanks for coming guys! We had such a great time and love you so much!

Chuck E. Cheese

Last weekend Teag and I took Dallas to Chuck E. Cheese to play. He LOVED it! He was maybe a little small and young for some of the things, but he still had a blast.
he loved riding in the cars,
and going up and down in the space ship,
going down the slide, of course!
and playing skee-ball with daddy!
(although he really just wanted to hold the ball)

what we've been up to!

I feel like we have been so busy and on-the-go the past few weeks!
here's a bit of what we've been doing...
-
there has been plenty of playing in the drawers and cupboards

playing with the puppies

and still loving little gym

but most of all we just love being with our little guy!

He is 14 months old today and is developing such a fun little personality! He has us laughing constantly and smiling all the time :)

  • he is still sleeping from about 7:30 pm - 7:30 am...DREAM!
  • drinks about a 1/2 gallon of whole milk a day
  • LOVES eating and trying new foods (quesadillas, pb & j's, black beans and yogurt are among his fave's)
  • says "mama", "dada", "ball", and points to everything and says "that" then looks at me to tell him what it is
  • still loves being read to and brings me his favorite books throughout the day to read to him
  • he has 9 teeth in and more on the way - poor guy :(
  • loves to 'talk' to dada on the phone throughout the day, but nothing beats when he hears the garage opening at night and sees Teag walk through the door!
  • he is just a LITTLE attached to me these days - I only last about 15-20 minutes at the gym before they come get me because he is so sad. Everyone keeps telling me it is just a phase.....
  • had to get his first scolding from dada the other day because he was hitting me. Teag simply picked him up, held his hands and told him "no hitting mommy", but the tears were FLOWING!!! We were doing all we could not to bust up laughing!
  • he is so sweet and is great about giving us, Ruby & Cooper and his stuffed animals loves!

Teag and I still wonder daily what we did so right to have a little dream like Dallas! He is so great and brings more joy and happiness to our life than we ever could have imagined. We feel so, so lucky to be his parents and love him more than words can say!

my amazing brother!

below is a link to a story that Channel 2 News in Utah did on my older brother Jason.
-
3 years ago Jason went in for a 'routine' surgery and barely lived through a mistake on the operating table. His life changed so dramatically in every way, but he has managed to have this AMAZING attitude and looks at this nightmare as a chance to help others, touch others lives and be an example of finding the good in things!

It is a miracle that Jason is still here and doing as well as he is - relatively speaking. I feel so lucky to be his sister and to have been touched by his humor, attitude and outlook!

baby jacob

we were SO HAPPY that we got to spend a little time with the Keisel's while they were in Utah! Teag was so sad he couldn't be there and we missed him, but had so much fun hanging out with our little ones.
-
little, er BIG baby Jacob is too cute! Brett and Sarah are such great new parents!
-
We couldn't wait to introduce Dallas and Jacob!
new best friends and fellow ranch-hands, they will be sure to have some good times together over the years!
If their friendship is anything like their dads, what are Sarah and I in for?!?!
cutest Keisel family
Sarah and her sweetest baby Jacob
Brett and his baby boy - he is quite the proud daddy!
Dallas with Brett and Jacob - just a little tired!
the babes!
-
we miss you guys and can't wait to see you in about a month :)
