early Easter

We were so excited that we were in Utah for a few early Easter celebrations!
First was my parents neighborhood Easter egg hunt...
yes, in the freezing snow!
Dallas and the O'Neil girls on their way
Eliza finding her first egg
Dallie with his little basket
The poor guy was crying by the end. He kept crying "hand" with his little red ice-cold hand in the air :(
running wild!
I took Eliza and Dallas home early and they COULD NOT WAIT to get inside and bust into their eggs. They were clapping and yelling "candy! candy!" for the rest of the afternoon!
-
Later in the day my mom did her annual Easter Party for all the little kidsDaddy surprised us and showed up mid-way through!
Dallas was just a LITTLE excited to see him and didn't let him out of his sight the rest of the day

Dallas was a pro at the egg-hunting by now

Eliza, Kira and Dallas
Dallas and his best buddy IsaakDallas didn't quite understand that each kid was only supposed to get 15 eggs...we had to sneak some from his bag when he wasn't looking!
Eliza, Dallas and Ben decorating cookies, er, eating frosting
Awwww! Cutest little Lizy all covered in frosting!!!
Dallas going to town on his cookie.
The kid has never had so much sugar in one day! No wonder he totally crashed later that night!
the kiddos making faces for the camera
"DARling" Benny with his 'bunny teeth'

We had so much fun seeing our cousins and their kids and some of our aunts and uncles that were in town for the weekend. Dallas was lucky that he got to be with all his Reynolds cousins!
Thanks mom for all your hard work and yet another AMAZING party!

our baby is a BIG BOY!!!

HAPPY 2nd B-DAY DALLAS!!!
Our little man turned 2 on April 9th. We can't believe he has been around this long, but at the same time we could not imagine life without him!

Some of our favorite things about our little Dallie boy:
* he is such a sweetheart and is usually pretty willing to give us hugs, kisses and loves
* he LOVES to read books and has from day 1
* he is still obsessed with balls of any kind and now even knows to associate golf balls with Grandpa Reynolds :)
* he is such a little monkey and climbs anywhere and everywhere he can! most recently he has been found on top of the washer and dryer, opening the oven and climbing on top of the stove and even trying to climb his basketball hoop
* he is so good at prayers at night- folding his arms, bowing his head, checking to make sure our eyes are closed, saying amen and opening his arms for 'family hugs' when we are done!
* he is such a great eater-favorites are still black beans, turkey dogs, quesadillas, gogurts and about 1/2 gallon of whole milk per day
* we had his 2 year check-up on his birthday and he is still TALL & SKINNY!!!
37-1/2 in. tall (still off the charts) and a whopping 29 lbs (60th %)
* he is Teag's little copy-cat! most recently doing 'workouts' with Teag-when he does pushups Dal either jumps on his back or hops down and joins in
* he has quite the entourage in his crib for naps and night time-2 silky blue blankies, small green 'cozy', spunky puppy blanket, 2 of the same yellow stuffed elephants (one quite a bit more worn than the other), grey elephant, pancake puppy, spot puppy
(and we have to pack them all around when we travel-they need their own suitcase!)
-
We had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party at Gma and Gpa Reynolds house. The O'Neils were in town so he was able to be with most of his cousins (we missed your Vali and Norah!), aunts and uncles, grandparents and mama.
We were so sad daddy missed the big party because he had practice, but he suprised us the next day and came up to SLC see us!

he was slightly mesmerized with the candle... his Mickey Mouse cake!
Thanks again for helping me Kim! My sister takes birthday cakes pretty seriously...cake and frosting made from scratch...YUM!!!
all decked out in his mouse ears
enjoying the cake!

we finally had to move the big cake b/c he kept digging in with his spoon
Add Image Dallas and mommythis wasn't a b-day present, but as soon as he saw my mom get her vacuum out he had to go get the play one and was then more interested in vacuuming than opening presents

Coach Whiting

Well, the Whiting Family is on the move to.....

CEDAR CITY, UTAH!!!

Teag got the Graduate Assistant position with the Thunderbirds Football team. He will be coaching the Offensive Line and he will start his MBA in the Fall!
I am SO, SO proud of Teag for this accomplishment, because it is very competitive and a tough job to get into. I am also so proud of his great success and hard work for the past 3 years we have been in Boise. He has done so well in sales, but his heart just wasn't in it. We have been talking about the possibility of making this change for quite some time and finally decided it was totally worth it for him to be doing something he absolutely LOVES! He is so excited and is going to be awesome!

I am still in a bit of denial that I am leaving Boise and all those that I love here, so that will be a post for another time...(tears flowing)

Summit, NJ

It had been a long 6 months or so since we went to visit the O'Neils and Reynolds in Summit, so we felt we were due. Not to mention, Dallas turns 2 in a few short weeks so we had to get a trip in before I have to pay for a ticket for him!
-
Scotty was in Asia so it was a girls (plus Jake and Dallas) week! Jake and Em came over every night to hang out and get some quality time with 2 of their sissies and all the fun little ones! We had their typical friday night dinner at RANDAZZO'S in Summit, and it did not disappoint! Then it was off to ricky's for some treats before the big
BRAYTON
THEATER WEEK
PERFORMANCE!!!
For all Dallas knew Alexa was seriously peforming on Broadway...he had tunnel vision the whole time and very excitedly clapped everytime she did something or the song ended. When it was over he ran to find her and just clap, clap, clapped!
On Saturday we had a sitter and Lisa, Jake, Em and I went to a movie (won't even mention the name due to sheer embarrassment) and rosa mexicana for dinner. The guac was amazing and made-to-order at our table. It was second to only one Scott O'Neil's guacamole.
During the week we did Lisa's and the girls' busy (but fun!) day-to-day stuff with a few shoppping trips and lunches thrown in. No trip to Summit would be complete without hitting Short Hills Mall!!!
Dallas was SOOO excited waiting for our flight!

nothing like ricky's for treats after dinner.
they were so nice and even custom made chocolate-covered cinnamon bears for me -my FAVE!!
Alexa and the 4th graders acting from Charlotte's Web, dancing from Itsy-bitsy Spider and singing from Alice in Wonderland!
Dallas was SOO proud of Alexa and couldn't wait to give her props
then of course the 2 little wild ones had to hop up on stage for a little attention of their own...
cutest ELIZA, KIRA and DALLAS
Dallas had his first slurpee while we were there
needless to say, he thought it was pretty great!

Kira is always so sweet to Dallas and let him hold her hand all the way home from school :)
these two munchkins had so much fun together!
swinging...
playing following the leader...
playing in the barbie house...

watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...
playing on the swingset...
and playing in the tub!
but if Dallas was napping, Eliza found some fun on her own-doing dishes!
She is her mothers daughter-Lisa ALWAYS loved to clean the kitchen growing up!
crazy and fun uncle jake wrestling with the kids!

those O'Neils can throw down-I heard them say they totally support bringing UFC to Madison Square Garden!!!
poor Eliza was outside playing with the 'big girls' and kept coming up to the back door with the saddest look on her face! But then she would just turn around and go play again.
Dallas with his funnest Aunt Emy and Uncle Jake

Second to being in Ireland, NYC is apparently the place to be for St. Patty's!!!

It was ever-present in the little town of Summit, NJ though with the CLOVER-SHAPED pizzas!

-

We had SOOO much fun with you all and always love coming to hang out and play and experience your fun and busy lives! We can't wait to see the O'Neils next week and Jake and Em in August in Newport. You are all the best and we love you so, so much! Thanks for yet another great trip :)
