Cal Poly

Last weekend SUU played at Cal Poly and the wives were lucky enough to go!
We had so much fun and stayed at a beautiful resort on the beach.
While the coaches and team were doing their thing we did a little shopping, hung at the pool and beach and went to the game, of course :)
-
Nothing better than a sunset on the beach!

Teag and Ronnie were so excited to toss the football on the beach and play in the water!
I was more than content to lounge in the sand and read my book

The view from our room

Not a bad night for football, huh?!
It was about 70 degrees and beautiful

Suni, myself, Mindi (and Noah), Samy, Erin (face?!) and Sarah below

Sweet little Noah Pupunu
He is only 3 weeks old and was such a dream - he just slept the whole game!

The SUU crowd!
They stuck us in the top corner, but we made sure we were heard!
The SUU photographer said she could hear us yelling and cheering from the field.

Kathryn is so cute and fun and she was the ultimate fan!
Everytime we scored she ran the SUU flag back and forth!

We were all a little nervous...

But obviously we scored again...
We scored a touchdown with seconds left and were going to go for the 2-point conversion to win...
But then Cal Poly called a time out and our clutch kicker was sent in to tie it up and send it to overtime...
From the stands the kick looked good, but it was wide left...
and we lost by 1 point :(

It was such a bummer to lose and it made for a QUIET plane ride home,
but we still had so much fun!!!

2 1/2 years old!

Well our little man is officially closer to 3 than 2 - I can't believe it!
He is as fun and funny as ever and we are loving every minute with him :)
-
A little about Dal these days...
(sorry for the overload, but this serves as my scrapbook)
. a few months ago he started calling his blankets "gooby" - NO idea where that came from...
. he is OBSESSED with the 'CARS' movie and is now collecting all the little cars from the show
-if it were up to him we would watch 'CARS' over and over all day long
. he still loves books and now sits through 20-30 page Disney books
. he loves going to SUU football practice to watch coach daddy and the football guys
and loves doing the drills on the sideline - he has a great 3-point stance!
. still loves Diego
. we went to get him some new shoes and he was upset with me because I wouldn't let him get the pink, sparkly Dora shoes
. totally in the "MINE!" phase
. sneaks cars into his crib during naps
. when we ask "Dallas, do you need to go to time-out?" he answers "yes" and puts himself there
. if he is naughty and I give him a little look he immediately says, "Dallas nice boy"
. when we go to Maverik he goes right to the gatorade and get's one and calls it 'kids blue drink'
. he loves getting 'cream-cream cones' from Arctic Circle
. If we ask him if he wants a little brother or sister he says, "No. Just mommy, daddy and dallas"
. However, he loves little babies and calls any baby he sees "baby Norah" (his cousin)
. out of the blue he will tell me "mommy cute" or "mommy pretty" - so sweet!
. he loves to get with daddy and gang up on mom to "tickle-tickle"
. as long as he has his 'gooby', 'be-be' and 'baba' he is content
. he dances along to SYTYCD and tries to copy their moves
. likes to play cars with mommy and daddy, but he always gives us the lame cars and really just wants us to sit off to the side and watch him
. when he is doing his counting he will alternate between english and spanish..."one, dos, tres, four"...thank you Diego and Dora!
. he always says "Oh, man!"
-the other day he was so, so tired and was playing with his cars when one fell on the floor. He put his head in his hands and started crying and saying over and over "Oh man Dallas" - I had to leave the room I was laughing so hard!!!
. when it starts to get dark at night he tells me "sun going night-night, sleeping in clouds"
. he loves to tell us "stop it mommy!" or "stop it daddy!"
we have never said this to him, so we aren't quite sure where he picked it up
. he says "mommy pull" instead of "come here"
. anytime we get in the car to go ANYwhere we have to drive past the stadium aka daddy's work
-on the way there and the way home :)
. he is so polite; always saying please, thank you and excuse me.
-we went to get our flu shots and thru his tears he said "thank you nurse" as we were leaving
. he can spot a car wash from a mile away and asks to get my car washed a few times a day
. he will come up to Teag and I out of the blue and say "hug" or "kiss" and give us loves :)

Toy Story & Toy Story 2 in 3-D

Teag had a rare day off on Wednesday so we wanted to take advantage and do something fun with our little man.
We took Dallas to his first movie at the theater
(other than 'Bourne' when he was just a few months old)
He had popcorn, treats and 3-D glasses!
He thought it was the greatest thing!

Dallas and daddy in their glasses...
We weren't counting on Dal lasting for both movies, but when the first one was over he was screaming, "Again! Again!"
I think it was a success and we will definitely be looking forward
to our next Disney movie on the big screen :)

Victory!

SUU 38 Texas State 16
-
YAY! We were so excited to have another home game and it's even better when we win!
The T-birds looked great and the defense totally stepped it up.
It was SOOO windy though...so much so that when Texas state attempted an onside kick they actually lost 2 yards, then another 5 for a penalty.
Both my dad and Teag said they had never seen that happen!
-

Not a bad view! It is so pretty with the red mountains in the background.

My mom and dad drove down for the game.
We had so much fun with them!

Dallas cheering with grandma

Grandma helped cover Dallie's ears when the cannon went off after touchdowns...
he gets a little freaked!
On friday we were talking about the game and Dallas said,
"Mommy, Dallas scared. Football game loud. Boom!"
I asked him if he would want earplugs for the game and he got REALLY excited!
They lasted for a few quarters, but I think he liked grandma's help better :)

Sitting with Mommy after the game

surprisingly Dallas sat the whole game! Most of it was on grandma's lap though :)

Here is a rare shot of Coach Whiting on the sideline.
Teag is usually in the pressbox calling plays, so Dallas was SOOO excited when he saw him on the sideline near the end of the game!!!
-
We have a bye next week, then go to Cal Poly the week after, so hopefully a little rest will help before the conference games start!
