A few weeks ago we had our annual trip to Newport Beach with the Reynolds!
Teag was in the middle of training camp, so he couldn't be there, but everyone else made it.
We have been going my whole life, and everytime we do pretty much the same things. It is so much fun to be all together and I am so happy that we all love to be together as much as we do. I feel so lucky to have this time with my family and am so happy that Dallas loves it so much too!

FUN AT THE BEACH
We hit the beach almost every day we were there.
The kids love playing in the sand and waves, the guys love the water and football and the girls love watching it all while lounging, chatting and reading our gossip mags!
Dallas, Eliza, Alexa and Kira heading to the beach! Lizy and Dallie
THE KID!!!
So a few Christmas's ago someone gave this white elephant: a red speedo with 'Newport 2007' on the back...
well, Jake changed it to '2009' and surprised us all by dropping his shorts to these little beauties!
We were all CRYING we were laughing so hard!
Josh and Jer
Dad getting in his nap
Uncle Scottie playing with all the kiddos
Jer-Bear showing off some of his baseball skills
and the guys fighting for the catch
Dallas with cousins Ben, Alexa, Kira and Isaak
"BIG WAVES"!!!
Jay enjoying the sunset
we were so happy he was able to make it and stay the whole time!
(or "not-so fun zone" according to some... )
-
we hit the fun zone pretty much every day too!
we love walking just a few quick blocks for balboa bars, the arcades, a good diet coke, the cute candy store and the carousel and ferris wheel
oh, and we CAN'T forget dollar taco night!!!
Dallas and Uncle Scott loving the motorcycles
it was good to see that Jake hasn't lost his touch...
when he was just a little guy people would crowd around to watch him play because it was so amazing to watch this little kid make every basket and get the high score every time!
Dallas trying to follow Uncle Jakes lead
Dallas and Eliza trying to get in on the action on the arcades
AND HIT THE JACK POT!!!
Benny with his 1,000 tickets!
He used his winnings to get a remote control helicopter
Dallas and his idol Isaak riding the carousel
-
Isaak is such a good sport and so good to Dallas! Dallas is just a little obsessed with Isaak...he could be heard asking 'where Isaak go?' about 500 times a day.

it's great to see that Josh is still just a kid at heart, even though he is technically an adult now
Isaak hooked up to bungee cords and jumping on the tramp...
this little attraction is always a favorite!
the kids have a blast and the adults laugh our heads off at their expressions!
we couldn't get enough of Keeks and her laugh while she was jumping
and Ben was just flying all over the place!
Dallas with cousins Ben and Isaak
Little Lizy pushing Dallas home after a long evening at the Fun Zone!
we just had to have a pic of Jer standing in line at 'dollar taco night'
Sorry Dad, but I don't think this is going to be a new tradition...
Mister LOVED riding the ferris wheel with me!

FUN WITH GRANDMA
My mom is so fun and cute with her grandkids!
She and my Dad love taking them to get donuts in the morning, playing with them at the beach and she always has fun activities planned for them
Dallas and Eliza helped Grandma bury all the toys and treasures
Grandma and Aunt Steph having fun with the two little ones
the grandkids making t-shirts with Grandma
Dallie and Lizy helping make rice krispie treats...
such great helpers!
-
FASHION ISLAND
we love going to fashion island for a little shopping and lunch with the girls
and the pet store for the kiddos
Eliza was just a little unsure...
the wild ones throwing about $20 worth of Grandma's coins into the fountain

The Reynolds Family Mantra

as soon as Dal saw the pug he ran over, got down and started yelling
"my Ruby!"
sad :(

THE DOT CUP
The guys always love to play some basketball in Newport. 3 years ago my Grandma Holt
(a.k.a. Dot) passed away while we were in Newport, so from then on the annual b-ball game was better known as 'The Dot Cup'
No one was quite sure how my mom would take it, so she didn't know the name of the game until this year...she thought it was a really cute and sweet tribute to her mom :)

this year they decided to make it the real deal by getting a commemorative trophy
Stevie's art skills came in handy!
the guys in action...it can get a little heated!
we took the kids to witness the Dot Cup first hand, and Dallas just couldn't resist trying to drink from it!
-
every time we drove past the courts (and everytime he hears 'basketball' since we've been home) Dallas yells out "Dot Cup! Dot Cup!"
Teag unfortunately missed out on the action this year, but still got his name on the trophy from years past. Phew!

THE CRAB COOKER

I think every one of us get's the Alaskan King Crab leg's every year.
